THIS THING CALLED LOVE
We went for a day out as a family to Tatton Park and Pete took these photos of me and my beautiful daughter. Looking at these photos of the two of us I feel so incredibly thankful to God for her. She has brought us so much joy already. I love her so much that at times I think I'm going to burst with love for her.
Isla - you are my pride and joy! I absolutely love being your mum. I look forward to seeing you grow and become all that God has created you to be. I hope as I accompany you through life that we will become the best of friends as my mum and me are.

DADDY ISLA TIME
The first time we bathed Isla without any midwife supervision we soon realised it had been made to look very easy. Either that or our midwife was taking advantage of Isla's sleepy state after the whole labour experience. We first timers had no idea how complicated the process could be. Thankfully after a few episodes involving projectile poo and a near drowning we have now managed to master Isla's bathtime. Bathing our little lady is one of the many highlights to our day. It's now just a case of who is lucky enough to get to do it.

Dad's Diary -Antenatal Classes & All That Malarky
Nothing brings home the impending reality of fatherhood quite like a trip to the local maternity unit with 22 other soon to be mums and dads.
Despite the fact that I had already become the font of all knowledge in such matters simply by buying one, very big book on the subject, it was apparently essential for this dad to be to attend the first of 4 Antenatal classes.
Here the midwife advised mums to be that the best thing to do when they go into labour is to stay at home as long as possible and to keep their minds off contractions it was a good idea to get some household chores done such as ironing, hoovering and cleaning the floor on all fours.
CAN YOU IMAGINE IF I'D HAVE SUGGESTED THAT.....!!!!!!!

Purchases for Baby Farrars' Nursery
After much discussion and back and forth to the store we finally settled on white for the nursery furniture. I have to confess it probably took me longer to decide the all important colour scheme of the nursery than it did my wedding dress!! Thank you husband for your incredible patience.
We're now waiting for everything to be delivered and have cleared out what was Pete's second bedroom. I have even created space in my wardrobe, so that he can finally move all his stuff back in. So we are now officially squeezed into one tiny wardrobe and the baby as tiny as it is has an entire room all of his/her own!
Thank you so much to those who have helped us give our first baby a beautiful Nursery, in particular my Nanna, Vera and my beautiful sisters in New York...you know who you are.
While I'm making my thank yous - our parents have also been so wonderful . Thank you for your endless love and support. Baby Farrar doesn't know how lucky it is.

FEELING SWELL
We now have 12 weeks to go before Baby Farrar is officially due. Although, if baby is anything like it's gorgeous Father I am happy to take bets on it being late and keeping us waiting. That said it's lovely to finally be counting down the weeks instead of the other way round.
I'm also happy to report my body is now settling better into pregnancy and I am loving the fact my baby belly is now taking on a life of it's own.
